If you can only remember three things this month to get you on the road to better health let these be on the top of your list:
1. Avoid any foods that contain High Fructose Corn Syrup:
WHY: May elevate fat levels in the blood and elevate cholesterol. May slow fat burning and cause weight gain, may inhibit our natural ability to feel full and therefore may cause us to eat even more.
2. Avoid any foods that contain Partially Hydrogenated Oils:
WHY: Clogs arteries, raises bad cholesterol, risk of heart disease.
3. Do most of your shopping around the perimeter of the gorcery store:
WHY: The outside or perimeter of the grocery store contains all of the fresh produce, meats, and dairy. The inside or aisles of the store contain all of your packaged, processed, boxed and canned meals.
